Raid rules read !!!
10/08/2009 06:58 PM by alastair

Hi guys, just to clear up a couple of things it seems like there are people who don’t know the Guild’s raid rules and some of you seem just not to follow the rules anymore. So here they are again.

1. Nobody can pug Ulduar/TOC/onyxia 10 or 25 man raids. You can only pug these raids on Monday or Tuesday and only if the raids are not on the calender for those nights. (As Tuesday is not a Guild raid night you can safely assume that you can pug anything you so wish).

2. Nobody can pug raids if you do not sign up for the Guild’s raids and you should raid at least once a week with the Guild. It is unfair to other Guild members if you pug and are, therefore, saved and unable to raid with the guild.

3. All members should make every attempt to raid with the guild and not pug. We will be monitoring people as a lot of you appear to pug as opposed to raiding with the Guild. It asks the question, why are we in the Guild in the first place?

4. All members that accepted the raids must be here 15 minutes before raids start. We accept the fact that some of you can’t make it because of work and real life commitments. Also, people that are online before others stand a better chance to be invited to the raid depending on what Classes we need for the raid. We will always attempt to make the group a Class run if possible.

5. If we don’t have enough people to setup a 25 man raid then we will do 2x 10man runs

6. If you wish to pug a raid then you must ask an Officer or the GM. They will then check your raid history with the Guild. If it is discovered that you are not raiding with the Guild then you will be removed. This is a raid guild, not a pug guild.

7. You are allowed to pug with alts, however, it would be beneficial to the guild they could be on standby for guild runs should we need a different Class. From now on there will be 2 TOC10 raids on different days for people that do not get an invite to the first one. We can then use some of the better alts in the guild to assist with the 2nd raid to help out people who missed out the first time.

8. There will be a 50DKP bonus to any member that signs for a raid and did not get an invite and agrees to go on standby in case of a drop-out. If you attend a 2nd raid later for the same instance later in the week this bonus will be withdrawn.

9. For all new members to the Guild, we use the DKP system for raids. More information on this is at the bottom of this post. Please ask an Officer or GM if you are unsure about it.

10. NOBODY can pug raids on Guild raid days. You will be removed from the Guild if you do. U may ask officer or Gm to do so if u cant make the raid to raid leader descression!!!

11. To be able to raid you need to be prepared with potions, flasks, ammo, reagents, shards, food and anything else your character may require. A fish feast will normally be provided, however, it should not be expected. Equipment should be gemmed and enchanted to the best spec possible. Everybody should have Omen and Deadly Boss Mods installed and have access to Teamspeak. Other addons are personal preference. If you do not have flasks/potions then speak to Bezone who will supply them (for a cost).

12. You should be online 15 minutes before raid start. Raids start at 2200 server time, if you are going to be late then please inform the raid leader (person who posted the raid on the calender).

13. Signing up for a raid does not guarantee a place. Raid leaders have to make the decision of who is better to take, especially for progression raids. Please accept this, the raid leaders will always try to put up as many raids as possible to ensure participation at the appropriate level.

14. Listening to the raid leader is a vital part of any raid. Therefore, do not talk over Teamspeak unless specifically asked. Any abuse of other players or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in removal from the raid. Continued abuse of this rule will result in removal from the Guild.

15. Everybody should know the tactics of each boss. If you sign up for a raid then you will be expected to have researched this beforehand. There are numerous resources for this available on the web, Tankspot, Wowwiki, Wowhead to mention just a few. There is no excuse for not knowing the tactics of a boss fight. The raid leader will make the decision on final tactics for each boss should they be unclear.

16. Everybody should stay focussed for the whole raid. There will be breaks for bios etc, do not go AFK without first informing the raid leader. There is nothing more annoying than starting a difficult boss fight to find out that the healer has gone to feed the cat.

17. During looting there should be no talking in raid chat. Wait for the item to be linked by the lootmaster and /w your DKP bid to them. If you are bidding for an Off-spec item then put OS after your bid. There is nothing more annoying than some idiot posting recount information in the middle of the loot process.

18. Only bid the DKP that you have. Minus figures are not permitted, if you win the item then you will pay DKP equal to the next highest bid +10. For example, if you bid 200 DKP and the second highest bid it 60 DKP then you will pay 70DKP. If yours is the only bid then you will pay 10DKP.
* DKP *
this is how you earn dkp

10 man
raid start 10 dkp raid end 10 dkp
down a boss 5 dkp (double if its a first kill for the guild)

25 man
raid start 20 dkp raid end 20 dkp
down a boss 10 dkp (double if its a first kill for the guild)

Pugging Rules

Pugging is only allowed on Monday or Tuesday - this is to ensure we have enough players available to attend guild raids - to pug at any other time you will need permission from an officer which will be given in special circumstances

Hope this clear up the rules for most of u and remeber rules will change all the time for what ever reasons or problems that we may have thanks for reading !!!

We'll start using it from 15 april 2009

Dkp are points gained and spended at raiding.

You can get Dkp by killing bosses be on time ,
